Problemas de longitud

Remember to first work out what the important information is, then write the sum you need to do and then work it out.

Recuerda que primero has de seleccionar la información relevante, después escribe las operaciones que necesitas hacer y resuelve.

  

     Lucy goes to gymnastics every week. She is very good at gymnastics and once won a gold medal. Her gymnastics club is 2km away in a town that is very pretty. In a year she goes to gymnastics 15 times. How many metres does she travel in a year?

    (Remember she must travel there and back)

    Lucia va a gymnasia cada semana. Es muy buena en gimnasia y una vez ganó una    medalla de oro. Su club está a 2km de una preciosa ciudad. Al año va a hacer gimnasia 15 veces. ¿Cuántos metros recorre en un año?

(Recuerda que ella debe hacer el recorrido de ida y vuelta)

    Peter is a very brave skateboarder. He has a blue and green skateboard that is 37cm long. He likes to skateboard down hills. Once he skated down a really big hill that was 1,2 dam long. How far is this in metres?

Pedro es un “Skater”  muy valiente. Tiene un monopatín de 37 cm de longitud. Le gusta deslizarse por las laderas de las colinas. Una vez bajó una impresionante colina de 1,2dam de longitud. ¿Cuánto es esta distancia en metros?

   Miss Magee’s left arm is 4,7dm long. Her right arm, which has lovely painted nails on the end of her hand, is 0,51m long. How long are both her arms put together? Give your answer as centimetres and metres.

El brazo izquierdo de la señorita Maggee mide 4,7 dm de longitud. Su brazo derecho, que tiene unas preciosas uñas pintadas al final de su mano, mide 0,51 m. ¿Cuánto mide los dos brazos juntos en ? Da tu respuestaen centímetros y metros.

  The playground benches are made of wood, they are brown and they are 579cm long. What is this length in metres?

     Los bancos del patio están hechos de madera, miden 579 cm. ¿Cuál es la longitud en metros?

    Mrs Bendall has 3 pens which she carries around in her beautiful handbag that is made from tea leaves. The pencils are 17cm, 12cm and 9cm long and the pens are 15cm each. What is the total length of all the pens in dm?

La señora Bendall tiene tres bolis que lleva en su precioso bolso, hecho con hojas de té. Los lápices miden 17cm, 12cm an 9cm y los bolis 15 cm cada uno. ¿Cuál es la longitud total de los bolis en dm?

   Miss Magee has to drive 7  km to get to school. On Monday she drove to school and arrived at 8am, she realised she’d forgotten her bag, drove back home, picked up the bag, then returned to school. How far did she drive before school started?

La señorita Magee tiene que recorrer 7 km para llegar al cole. Los lunes conduce y llega a las 8 am. Se dio cuenta de que había olvidado su bolso. Volvió a casa a recogerlo, después volvió al cole. ¿Qué distancia condujo  antes de que empezasen las clases?
